Human Resources Support

Description

  • Recruit volunteers, staff (when needed), interns (college programs)
  • Hire staff, contractors
  • Organize staff meetings and Steering Committee meetings
  • Train and coordinate volunteers, interns
  • Manage staff relations:performance reviews and compensation

There are a number of volunteer positions available for our human resources team:

  • Volunteer/ Intern recruiter:
    • Supervised by Human Resources Lead
    • Time commitment: TBD
    • Maintain/update volunteer job descriptions
    • Work with HR lead and Staff to fill volunteer positions
    • Recruit interns from college and high school programs
    • Help with outreach for volunteers through postings, and tabling events
  • Volunteer coordinator:
    • Supervised by Human Resources Lead
    • Time commitment: TBD
    • Manages spreadsheet of volunteers who are willing to table, phone bank, etc.
    • Helps coordinate orientation for new volunteers
    • Contacts volunteers when needed

Qualifications:

  • A passion for the clean power, healthy communities perspective of the LCEA
  • General knowledge/background regarding renewable energy and renewable energy policy
  • Good research and analysis skills
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Responsible, very organized, and detail-oriented
